Contentment is so frustrating

Last night I had the privilege of speaking to Christian Challenge, the college aged ministry meeting here in the Hutchinson area.

I spoke on the issue of contentment, and as weird as it sounds… I have been totally fired up about contentment! This spring I have spoken at half a dozen schools and colleges and have talked about contentment almost every time (even at our own SURGE Bible Study once). But, last night I finally got it on video.

  1. After watching this video, our version of contentment seems more like a disease or an eating disorder. We think taking it all IN will make us content, but it is a balance and a blend. We are fed, but we must also FEED those around us from what we have been given. If we just sit and take, take, take, we don’t become content from growth, but stagnant instead. Contentment comes from growth when we receive AND when we give much like that balanced diet and exercise regimen that should be used together.

    2. If not, did it go to your junk mail?
    3. If you didn’t get it and it didn’t go to your junk mail, did you ever confirm your subscription? Right after you subscribed a link would have been sent to you to click on and activate your subscription. Again, it may have gon to your junk mail.
