Symptoms aren’t the disease

We often get caught up in the trap of the immediate, but when it comes to our spiritual condition we need to look further than the surface.

In this video we can explore the possibility that we are spending too much time of the symptoms and not enough on the disease.

Matthew 15:19

For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

  1. Hey Andy! Was just wanting you to know how much this has been true for me for so long! I believe with all my heart that I have been saved and know where I’m going. But I struggle all the time with the fact that I feel that I’m not right and don’t know how to get right. I thank you for all that you do and your prayers. I continue to pray for you and your family and only hope that if or when I ever have to deal with what you guys have gone through that I might be half as strong as you. Well I just want to thank you again for all that you do!

  2. Couldn’t have said it better myself! No seriously…glumoneutinitous??? The message you gave is exactly the core of what I hope the people hear from us at CR! Blessings!

  3. Thank you for the message. I forget to look deeper into myself and what is really going on, to the “real issue” thanks for the reminder and the prayer.

  4. Thanks for posting this…it was a message I really needed to hear today. I had been thinking this morning about some sin I have been struggling to root out in my life, and I was starting to get a suspicion that the problem is really with where my heart is at. I happened to end up watching this video, and got confirmation that the sin is just a symptom of a deeper problem.

Glad to hear that your son is doing better, he and your family will continue to be in my prayers.
