Restoration

One of the most difficult, but necessary teachings in Scripture is on the How-To’s of restoring someone who has fallen. Everybody will slip up, fall down and blow it from time to time.

What is the process, biblically, for helping that person up. It would be really good to know, especially when that person is you.

Galatians 6:1Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing this video. I grew up being taught that there were different “levels” of sin. Venial sins were small and meant we could still get into heaven even though we’d hurt God’s feelings by not living up to his standards. Mortal sins meant we were eternally separated from God regardless of our faith and our actions toward seeking forgiveness led to our restoration instead of grace alone, because the mortal sins were the BIG ones. It all meant that our salvation was dependent upon our actions and deeds and not the grace given us by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. While watching this, I just kept thanking God that Jesus was enough to cover all sin, because ALL sin separates us from God and our salvation is not earned. We are covered in His grace in our faith and nothing is too big for that.
